Kasper Bosmans was born in 1990 in Lommel and lives and works in Brussels and Amsterdam. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and at the Superior Institute of Fine Arts in Ghent (HISK). Since 2011 he has exhibited at home and abroad, both in groups and separately. He creates paintings, drawings, shows and sculptures inspired by local traditions, mythological iconography and images of heraldry. It uses unconventional materials such as colored flags, medieval symbols, plants and fragrances related to the territory. In his works mythological and encyclopedic anecdotes coexist in stylized and figurative forms.
