Wally, character of the famous opera by Alfredo Catalani, sings of a suffering heart as the swirling tops spin for and back ward, creating a whirring, reminiscent of the interplay of love. Black and white, positive and negative, Ying and Yang: the tops are swept away, only to get in touch over and over again, till their eventual topple. That is the end of motions, the end of love, the end of life.
